Forbes agents penned an increased offering of 23711 including 19104 lambs. Quality was good and buyers were presented with a large proportion of prime trade weight and heavy lambs. The usual buyers were operating, and trade weights and lambs 26/28 kilos were $6 to $8 dearer and heavier lamb prices were firm to $4 dearer. Trade weight lambs averaged 680/690c a kilo D/W and heavier lambs averaged 680/730c. Lambs 26/30 kilos made the top average rate of 730c a kilo D/W. There were 4607 sheep penned and prices were $6 to $8 dearer compared to last week’s market. Light sheep averaged 200c, medium ewes 250c and heavy ewes 300c.
