Forbes agents penned an increased total of 46300 sheep and lambs. There were 34400 lambs which included good numbers of prime trade and heavy lambs and approximately 7000 merino lambs and just 250 new season lambs in dearer market. All the usual NSW and Victorian processors were competing, and competition was extremely strong. Trade weight crossbred and merino lambs were $6 to $8 dearer, and heavies improved by $10 and more in places with a new record high price of $454 which were sold by KMWL account KP & RL McMahon. There were 11900 grown sheep which attracted solid competition and sold at fully firm rates compared to last week’s dearer market.
